Thai Airways International Public Company Limited serves as the national airline of Thailand. Established in 1988, the company’s main office is located on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Bangkok’s Chatuchak District, with its primary base of operations at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

As of 2020, the airline holds a 15.94 percent ownership in the budget airline Nok Air, making it the largest stakeholder. In mid-2012, it also launched a regional airline called Thai Smile, operating with a fleet of new Airbus A320 aircraft.

Thai Airways conducts operations from its central hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport and a secondary base at Phuket International Airport. By March 2025, the airline, along with its affiliated carriers, serves more than 60 destinations across the globe.
