Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be
Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an
unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or
her safety.
Thai Airways offers a service to assist children traveling alone from their
departure point to their final destination.
This service is compulsory
for children aged 5-11 flying without an adult. Children aged 12-15 are not
required to be treated as unaccompanied minors, but the service remains optional
for this age group.
Children under the age of 5 are not permitted to
travel unless they are accompanied by an adult. All airlines reserve the right
to request official proof of age for any child.
Contact Thai Airways
Reservations. Additionally, you will need to visit a Thai Airways office in
person to fill out a form with details of the parent or guardian who will be
responsible for dropping off and picking up the child upon arrival.
These policies may differ, however, so you should check with Thai Airways for a description of its rules and services and any additional
charges that may apply.
