Passengers traveling with Thai Airways are welcome to bring:

Carry-On Policy

All hand-carry items must be able to fit in the overhead compartment or beneath the seat ahead of you. Along with a personal belonging (coat, computer, handbag), travelers are permitted one cabin bag whose total dimensions (length + height + width) do not go beyond 115 cm / 45 inches and whose weight does not exceed 7 kg / 15 pounds.

NOTICE: Seats at the bulkhead do not provide space under the seat during take-off and landing.

Checked Luggage Policy

Travelers flying to or from Canada and the United States:

Luggage Limit: 2 items

• Maximum Size: 62 total inches / 157 cm (length + width + height)
• Maximum Mass for travelers in any class: 70 lb / 32 kg

Travelers heading to most other locations:

• Maximum Mass for Economy Class Travelers: 44 lb / 20 kg combined
• Maximum Mass for Business Class Travelers: 66 lb / 30 kg combined
• Maximum Mass for First Class Travelers: 88 lb / 40 kg combined

Extra, Overweight, or Oversized Luggage Charges

If you carry more items than allowed, or if your baggage surpasses the weight or dimension limits, extra fees will apply. Get in touch with Thai Airways for specific rates, as charges depend on the route and departure location.

Athletic Gear

Certain types of sports gear, due to their dimensions, delicacy, or special handling needs, may incur a surcharge even if they are counted as part of your allowed luggage items.
