Flight Cancellations by Passengers

Travelers who wish to cancel their reservations can do so via Vietnam Airlines’ official website or mobile application. Cancellations must be completed at least 3 hours prior to the planned departure time to avoid being charged a no-show penalty.

Certain ticket classes may come with conditions or incur charges upon cancellation. Additional purchases such as selected seats or special assistance services are typically non-refundable.

Refund Eligibility and Procedure

Refund approval is subject to the fare rules linked to the purchased ticket. To initiate a refund:

✔ Online through Website/App

Navigate to the "Manage Booking" section.

Input your Booking Reference (PNR) and Surname.

Choose "Add Services," then click "Refund (cancel booking and refund)" and proceed as guided.

✔ Email Submission

Send an email with your booking information and the reason for cancellation to request a refund.

✔ Ticketing Office

You may also reach out to or visit a Vietnam Airlines ticketing office for support.

Once submitted, Vietnam Airlines generally completes the refund process within 15 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, though actual processing times may vary depending on the bank.

Important Notes

Non-Refundable Fares: Some ticket types cannot be refunded. Be sure to review your fare conditions when booking.

No-Show Rule: If a cancellation is not made in advance and the passenger misses the flight, a no-show fee may be incurred.

Refund Notification: Once processed, a confirmation will be sent to your email address on file.
