Vietnam Airlines Check-in Information

Online Web / Mobile App Check-in

Web / Mobile App Check-in is accessible from 24 hours up to 1 hour prior to scheduled flight departure.

Please be aware that online check-in is available only for passengers holding confirmed reservations and valid e-tickets on flights operated by Vietnam Airlines. If you are flying with OTHER AIRLINES or on codeshare flights operated by carriers other than Vietnam Airlines, you must check in with the operating airline or proceed to the airport to complete check-in.

Airport Counter Check-in

Airport counters open and close according to the schedule below.

Important reminders:

• If the flight time is modified, check-in opening and closing times will be updated accordingly.

• Check-in timing may vary depending on the airport and the airline.

• It is strongly recommended to arrive at the airport early to allow ample time for check-in, security screening, and immigration.

Depending on the fare rules of your ticket, failing to check in on time may lead to:

• Your ticket becoming invalid or non-refundable due to fare restrictions. A new reservation and ticket purchase may be required.

• Additional costs such as change fees and/or fare differences for rebooking.

• Due to possible traffic congestion and time needed for check-in and security processes, it is advised to arrive at the airport at least 120 minutes before domestic departures and 180 minutes before international departures. Standby passengers will be handled on a “first come, first served” basis according to their priority level.

Kiosk Check-In

Kiosk check-in is currently offered at Noi Bai International Airport, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Cam Ranh International Airport, and Da Nang International Airport in Vietnam.

Through kiosk check-in, travelers can choose their seats, complete the check-in process, and print their boarding passes between 24 hours and 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights, and up to 60 minutes before for international flights.

Passengers traveling without checked luggage from airports in Vietnam may proceed straight to the security or immigration area without queuing at the check-in counters.

Closing Time of Boarding Gate

Boarding gates will close 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Passengers arriving late may be denied boarding.

These policies may differ, however, so you should check with Vietnam Airlines for its timings, rules and procedure that may apply during check-in.
