Passengers traveling with Vietnam Airlines are welcome to bring:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Travelers are permitted to bring one piece of hand luggage in Economy Class and two pieces in Business Class, each not exceeding 7 kg in weight, with the total of length, width, and height not surpassing 115 cm. Additional personal items allowed onboard include a handbag, clutch, purse, overcoat, umbrella, walking cane, laptop, foldable wheelchair, or a compact camera.

Checked Baggage

For routes within Asia, including domestic travel, the total checked baggage allowance is 20 kg for Economy Class and 30 kg for Business Class. For journeys to and from Europe and Australia, Economy Class permits up to 30 kg, while Business Class allows up to 40 kg. For travel to and from North, Central, and South America, both Economy and Business Class passengers may check in up to 2 bags, each weighing no more than 23 kg.

Excess Baggage

On domestic routes, excess baggage is subject to a low fee of $2 per kg. On international flights involving Asia, Europe, or Australia, excess weight is charged at $20 per kg. For routes to and from North, Central, and South America, travelers are charged $50 per item between 23 and 32 kg, or $150 for each extra bag beyond the standard allowance.
