Passengers traveling with Qantas Airways are welcome to bring:

Carry-On Allowance

All hand-carry items must be stowed either in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you and must comply with the designated cabin baggage limits. Carry-on items must not include hazardous materials unless approved for transport.

REMINDER: Seats located at the bulkhead do not provide underseat storage during take-off and landing.

Checked Baggage Allowance

The amount of checked baggage you can bring depends on your travel route, fare class, Qantas Frequent Flyer level, or Qantas Club status. For most domestic flights within Australia, Economy travelers are permitted one bag up to 23 kg (50 lbs), while Business Class travelers are allowed two bags up to 32 kg (70 lbs) each.

For international services to destinations in the Americas, Economy passengers are generally allowed two checked bags, each with a maximum weight of 23 kg (50 lbs). Please refer to the Checked Baggage Allowance section on the Qantas website for full details regarding your specific allowance.

Excess, Overweight, Oversize Baggage Fees

Additional charges apply if you bring more bags than allowed or if your baggage exceeds the weight or size limits. For complete fee details, contact Qantas Airways directly or refer to the Additional Baggage section on their website.

Sports Equipment

Certain items like bicycles or surfboards may be subject to a flat handling fee due to their size, delicacy, or special handling needs. For full information, contact Qantas Airways directly or check the Special Baggage Policy section on the Qantas website.
