UNESCO.
Located on the beautiful yet complex looking rift valleys and steep folds of the
mountains in the central part of Sulawesi, Lore Lindu National Park covers an
area of 568,000 acres (217,000 hectares). The park is considered as a safe home
to all the endangered mammal species of Sulawesi.
Mutiara SIS Al-Jufrie Airport is the closest major airport to Lore Lindu
National Park. Distance to Lore Lindu National Park from the airport is
approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles).
From Palu, visitors can travel by road to the park, which is known for its rich
biodiversity and megalithic sculptures.
