Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or her safety.

Royal Brunei Airlines provides an Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service for children aged 5 to 11 who are traveling alone.

Here are the key points of the UM service policy:

Pre-booking Requirement: The UM service must be arranged in advance. Parents or guardians need to book this service at the time of reservation or at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure.

UM Service Fee: There is a fee for the UM service, which may vary based on the route and the type of service requested.

Handling of UM: From check-in to handover at the destination, the child will be under the supervision of Royal Brunei Airlines staff.

Assistance for UM: Royal Brunei Airlines staff will assist the child with check-in, immigration, security procedures, boarding, and baggage retrieval. During the flight, the child will be seated in a special area and will receive special meals and beverages as needed.

Identification for UM: A unique identification tag will be provided to the child, which must be worn throughout the entire journey.

Pickup of UM: The designated guardian must be present at the destination airport to collect the child and provide appropriate identification.

These policies may differ, however, so you should check with Royal Brunei Airlines for a description of its rules and services and any additional charges that may apply.
