Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be
Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an
unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or
her safety.
The service is required for children aged 6-11 traveling alone on
international flights without an adult who is at least 15 years old. It is also
compulsory for children aged 5-11 on domestic flights. Children between the ages
of 12-15 are not required to be unaccompanied minors, though the service remains
optional.
Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by a Qatar
Airways representative. All airlines retain the right to request official proof
of age for any child.
For further details on fees, please contact Qatar
Airways. Bookings for unaccompanied minors cannot be made online as special
arrangements are necessary for these passengers. To make a reservation, please
call or visit a Qatar Airways office.
These policies may differ, however, so you should check with Qatar Airways for a description of its rules and services and any additional
charges that may apply.
