Carry-on Baggage
• Free carry on items
Items carried free of charge in the passenger cabin subject to the passengers
own supervision and responsibility. These articles are not labeled.
• Cabin baggage
Articles carried in the passenger cabin remain under the passenger’s own
supervision and responsibility. All cabin baggage must be properly labeled. Only
items suitable for carriage in the cabin may be accepted as hand luggage.
The maximum permitted size is 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm, with the total dimensions
not exceeding 115 cm and a maximum weight of 7 kg.
Note: Special regulations apply to the carriage of fragile, oversized, valuable,
or diplomatic items in the cabin.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Checked baggage, also known as registered baggage, refers to items that are
weighed, tagged, and stored in the aircraft’s cargo hold. These items are not
accessible to passengers during the flight.
Each piece of checked baggage is issued a baggage tag indicating the destination
and a unique serial number. A matching portion of the tag is attached to the
passenger’s ticket for identification and must be presented upon arrival to
claim the baggage.
Garuda Indonesia enforces a strict policy that no single piece of checked
baggage may exceed 32 kg (70 lbs) in weight.
Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) for Passenger Travelling Together
When two or more passengers traveling as one party to a common destination point
or point of stopover via the same flight, present themselves and their baggage
for travelling at the same time and place, they will be permitted a total free
baggage allowance equal to the combination of their individual free baggage
allowance. Baggage in excess of the combined maximum allowance will be subject
to the excess baggage charge.
General Baggage Rules

obligation, to inspect baggage contents in the presence of the passenger.
