Passengers traveling with Emirates can Check-in conveniently with the check-in options provided as below:
Online Check-in
Emirates offers a digital check-in
option for the majority of destinations across its network. Online check-in
becomes available 48 hours prior to departure and closes 90 minutes before your
flight. You can check in your luggage 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours
before if flying to the United States, and either collect a printed boarding
pass or download a mobile version for use at most airports.
Departure
must be from an airport that supports digital check-in. However, all passengers
are still required to visit the airport check-in counter for document
verification and boarding pass issuance.
Depending on your departure
location, you may be eligible for an electronic boarding pass. Otherwise, you
will need to retrieve your boarding pass at the airport via a self-check-in
kiosk.
Please be aware that online check-in is unavailable if your
journey begins on a flight not operated by Emirates. This includes all partner
or codeshare flights not directly run by Emirates.
Self Check-in
Kiosk
Checking in with a self-service kiosk is fast and simple.
Just follow the on-screen directions to complete your check-in without visiting
the service desks.
You can use the baggage drop kiosks to check your
luggage simultaneously. The kiosks also allow you to view your flight details,
select a seat, and add your Emirates Skywards membership number.
If
you’ve already checked in online, these kiosks can still be used to check your
baggage.
Self-check-in kiosks and baggage drop services are available in
Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, for all flights except those bound
for the US and Canada.
Airport Counter Check-in
For travelers with checked baggage, Emirates advises arriving at the airport 90
minutes before departure.
For those without checked baggage, Emirates
recommends arriving 60 minutes before the flight.
Passengers who are not
using online check-in should arrive at least 3 hours before departure if flying
in Economy Class.
First and Business Class passengers not using online
check-in should arrive at least 1 hour before departure.
Reminder
Allow ample time to complete document checks and reach your boarding gate.
3 hours: Arrive at the airport no later than 3 hours before your flight.
60 minutes: Pass through security at least 60 minutes before departure.
45 minutes: Boarding begins 45 minutes prior, and gates close 20 minutes before
departure.
These policies may differ, however, so you should check with Emirates for its timings, rules and procedure that may apply during
check-in.
