Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be
Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an
unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or
her safety.
China Eastern Airlines provides services for unaccompanied minors, ensuring a
safe and comfortable journey for children traveling alone. The service is
available for children aged 5 to 12 years who are traveling without an
accompanying adult who is at least 18 years old.
To use this service,
parents or guardians must complete the "Consent & Release for Carriage of
Unaccompanied Minors" form. The child will be charged the same fare as an adult.
Reservations for unaccompanied minors must be made at least 72 hours before the
flight departure.
Unaccompanied minors are not permitted to travel in
business class. They will receive assistance throughout their journey, including
priority boarding, extra baggage allowance, and support from the airline's staff
at the departure, transit, and arrival points.

charges that may apply.
