Asiana Airlines » Unaccompanied Minors Policy
Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be
Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an
unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or
her safety.
Eligibility
International flights: For children aged 5 to 11
Domestic flights: For children aged 5 to 12
Guidance
At the
departure city: The staff in charge will accompany the child from the check-in
counter to the aircraft boarding gate.
Inside the cabin: The flight
attendants will care for the child and ensure their safe travel.
At the
arrival city: The staff in charge will accompany the child until they meet their
guardian at the airport.
Fees
Domestic flights: 100% of the normal
adult fare
International flights: Adult fare + USD 100 per service
segment or USD 10,000 mileage charge
As of November 1, 2020 (based on the
date of issuance), the service fee changed to USD 150.
As of January 1,
2021 (based on the boarding date and deduction date), the fee changed to the
payment of 15,000 miles.
If you are allowing your child to fly alone as
an unaccompanied minor, please ensure you take all necessary precautions to
ensure their safety.
